Toberdoney Presbyterian Church

Welcome to Toberdoney Presbyterian Church website. We are a country church in North Antrim (just down the road from Bushmills). We are a friendly community of believers in Jesus Christ, seeking to serve Him, live for Him, and grow deeper in the knowledge of Him every day of our lives.

Christ-centred – Word-centred – People-centred

What we provide…

Sunday School

Sunday School takes place each Sunday morning during term time for all children from P1 – P7.
Bible-class takes place at the same time for anyone in Year 8+

Time: 9:30-10:15 am

Sunday Morning Service

Our Sunday morning service is Christ-centred and Biblical. From the hymns, the prayers, the Scripture reading, and, of course, the sermon, everything is centred around Jesus and our walk with him.

Come as you are, dressed as you are, in whatever spiritual state you happen to find yourself. Jesus welcomed everyone and he still does today. Anyone, from every walk of life will be made most welcome at Toberdoney Presbyterian Church.

Time: 10:30 am

Midweek Meeting

Every other Wednesday, during the academic year, we meet for prayer and bible study, where we go a little deeper into God’s word and pray for the needs of our congregation, our land and the world. The format is informal and there is scope for discussion.

Time: 8:00 pm

What we believe…

Bible

We believe the bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the foundation of our faith, for by it we encounter Jesus Christ – the means by which our relationship with God is restored.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he paid the price for the sin and offers new life to those who would put their faith and trust in Him and enter into a new way of living for Jesus, leaving behind their old way of life.

WCF

The Presbyterian Church in Ireland is a confessional church. This means that we subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith, which is the most concise and accurate summary of what the Bible teaches.

Christ-centred – Word-centred – People-centred

Food for thought…

Church is a place where we go, not to be distracted from the truth, but to leave all our distractions behind in order to be confronted by the truth and to be with others who are similarly shaped and conformed by that same truth.

― Michael Horton

Our faith rests not in what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what he has done, and in what he is doing for us.

― Charles Spurgeon
